Farm Production Manager

Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Farm Production Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our farm. This is a full-time, leadership role requiring an individual with strong agricultural knowledge, mechanical skills, and the ability to manage a team. The ideal candidate is motivated, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions.


Responsibilities
•    Grow and help harvest a variety of fruits and vegetables.
•    Proactively spray crops, as needed.
•    Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, implements, and field vehicles.
•    Troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs.
•    Manage and lead a small team of farm workers, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
•    Monitor crop health, insects, weeds, diseases, and implement pest control strategies.
•    Oversee post-harvest handling, packaging, and distribution to the farmstand and wholesale customers.
•    Maintain farm infrastructure, including greenhouses, fencing, and irrigation systems.
•    Work with ownership to set production goals and implement best farming practices.


Experience
•    Several years of recent, hands-on farming experience.
•    Strong knowledge of fruit and vegetable production.
•    Ability to operate and repair farm equipment.
•    Experience leading and managing a team is a plus.
•    Able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
•    Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a passion for agriculture.
•    Familiarity with basic welding is a plus.
•    Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
•    Basic math skills for calculations related to spraying are required
•    Pesticide applicators license is a plus.
•    Valid driver's license is required.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience


Expected hours: 32 – 48 per week
